motocross maddness

Ok, so I went to a motocross comp today, and with about 8 races or so ended up shooting about 4 gigs of photos. Shittu this is, when I used a friends card reader to load the photos on to my comp it worked once for about 150photos, but when I tried to load the other card (the 4gig card) only a couple of pictures worked, the rest are "corrupted".  So what I need help with is, how do I fix these photos?????
Does any one have even a slight idea of a way this can be done? I would LOVE any help you fine people out there might be able to give.

Thank you in advanced

Have you tried a different card reader, or to pull them straight from the camera?

Can you still veiw the pictures on the camera? If so they are not lost.

Email me direct if you are still stuck.

nope, they are not on the card anymore, the card got formated as soon as I tried to view it in the camera again. I have the data on my comp, it is just broken. I think the only thing I can do is get a program over here that can fix um.

Never happened to me so I may not be a great deal of help. Sometimes it can be between the card reader and the card itself. If you can go from camera to computer via USB it may work and therefore you know it was the reader and you have your photos. If not then you may have to look into a full recovery process of which I have no Idea lol.

what brand of cards do you have? with some sandisk cards, like the extreme3 ones, you get recovery software, maybe you can down load it from the sandisk site, it works quite well.

hope that is of help to you.

Man that sucks!

I have to admit I've never run into a problem like that personally so I can't offer you any first hand advice, but I did some checking and found a couple forum conversations that may be of use to you....
